My Favorites

Yep! I already missed last week. I really have no excuse, so let's get right into this weeks favorites.

1. Uggs
I love Ugg boots. I have two pair and recently got these from my boy for Christmas. They are super warm and go with just about anything!




2. Pill Reminder
I feel like an old lady, but sometimes I forget if I've taken my pills. So... My mom bought me one and it is wonderful! I never have to remember now; I can just look!




3. Insomnia Cookies
I visited a friend at MSU this weekend and she took me to a place called Insomnia Cookie. They have freshly baked cookies and are warm out of the oven when you arrive. One couple actually had to wait for their cookies because they were too hot to take off the pan.




4. Bernedoodles
I think I found a future puppy for me! This little baby is about the cutest dog ever. It is a cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. I don't know anybody with this dog; just a photo off the Internet.




5. This little guy
This is Maverick AKA Sniffers. He sniffs EVERYTHING. So we've jokingly renamed him sniffers. He was literally trying to see in the washer by climbing up it, but there was no where for him to put his back legs on and jump. So I lifted him up and here he is...

A Win and a Birthday

I used to work at Tim Horton's (January-March of 2012). As some of you may know they do "Roll Up the Rim to Win" every winter starting in February. Employees don't get the opportunity to win because the "Roll Up the Rim to Win" cups are for customers only. So, now that I no longer work for Tim Horton's I got a hot chocolate last week and won a free coffee or latte! My very first cup and I win!

This was before I knew I won. I sent it to my boy and told him to wish me luck!

It was my Dad's birthday yesterday. He turned 45! It was such a great day.



We met up with the family for a wonderful lunch at Bar Louie. We had a little time before our movie started so we walked around Charmie Charlie's as a family! Mind you there were 8 of us! My grandma was trying on some pretty crazy shoes... Totally embarrassing all of us!

We saw Oz The Great and Powerful as a family. It was pretty slow in the beginning, but eventually it picked up and was pretty good. My little cousin sat next to me and talked about what was going to happen next the whole time! She is just too cute.

After the movie we headed over to my Grandma's house for dessert. We had a delicious vanilla cream cake with pistachios on top. (My dad loves "healthy" cakes, if there is such a thing). Usually it's spice cake year after year, so we talked him into something different this year.

We opened presents and talked for a little before we all headed home. It was a great day and I only wish we had more time to do get togethers like this more often.

My Favorites

This week's favorites is a sweet and short list.

1. The sun!
It's finally warming up here in Michigan and the sun is shining! I love Michigan's four seasons, but the cold and snow gets old pretty quickly. I'm a fall girl and love the sweatshirt weather.

2. Coach Sunglasses
My eyes are very sensitive to the light, so for Christmas my mom and step dad purchased me a fancy pair of sunglasses. They have polarized lenses that reflect the sunlight! They have made a significant difference while driving.




3. My boy's cooking
Every once in a great while he cooks for me. I think that is something special to find in a man. It was just simply Mac and cheese, but the thought is what counts.




4. Daylight Savings Time
I hate losing an hour of sleep, but I love the daylight into the evening hours. It doesn't get dark until 7:30 here! Bring on summer!

My Favorites

I follow an individual who does something called, "Friday Favorites." It is simply a list of a few things she's loving that week. Instead of totally stealing her idea I'm going to attempt to write a post once a week of things that I enjoy in general (they may not be from that week). Bare with me on the titles of these posts.. I'm trying to think of something creative at the moment!

So here we go...

1. These are the most awful (sarcasm!) cookies I've ever had. They are made from cake batter and are horrible for you, but hard to resist!




2. I have dry, dry ends, so I talked to my hair dresser about what to do. She recommended this... It works wonders! It gives me that shine I crave and smooth textured hair!




3. My boy likes me to have "girly" nails. I'm a horrible nail picker, therefore my nails never look good. I try to keep them painted but that starts to chip and bother me! So... I gave in and got what he loves. I love them too, but they can be a bit expensive in the long run.




4. My little pup. Love her to death, but she has severe separation anxiety. She has done at least $5,000 worth of damage to our home. We are currently in the process of trying to find her a new home where someone can be with her all the time.

5. I spoiled myself for the Gatlinburg trip and bought a Coach purse. It's just perfect for me because I don't carry much around expect for my wallet, a pack of gum, and Chapstick
