Happenings and a Prayer

It was a lovely 70 degrees on Sunday. I was just itching to break out my flip flops and I did it!

I was babysitting my boyfriend's nephews and nieces and we stayed outside until about 8:45 when it started to cool off.

RED WINGS!!! They did it! I'm so excited for playoffs. This picture was taken from the Legends Club at their last home game.

Victory!

My boy has recently joined a roller hockey team. He loves it! And I love me a hockey player :) I went to see him play this past Sunday and it was a lot different than I expected. There's no icing or offsides and the clock doesn't stop! It's a lot different than ice hockey, but still fun to watch.

On the way home we stopped for dinner at Sonic. I've only been there once for a shake when I was visiting friends in Texas. The food was better than I expected.

My brother is leaving for Mackinac Island today where he will spend his summer. He will be working at the Island House as a Bell Hop. He is so excited. I sure will miss him, but so glad he's experiencing this.

My boyfriend's Grandpa has been in hospice for a few weeks now. He is not eating and going down hill quickly. His family went to the nursing center to have church with him on Sunday. This picture broke my heart. Please say a prayer for Nolan's Grandpa.

Checking In

Classes are over and summer is here! Well kinda... I'll be taking another class, all summer long and working. So I'll try to enjoy summer as much as possible! Hopefully the weather begins to change soon!

---------------------------------------------

Today was take your child to work day (no I don't have kids); however, my younger sister wanted to go with me. She had a Student Leadership interview at school today, so she went to work with me yesterday instead. She was bored... Coulda guessed she would be! But we did end up going shopping, bought some warm, cinnamon sugared donuts, and played some games. So she had a good day in the end!

---------------------------------------------

The Red Wings... It's been an odd season. They've been struggling. But the last 2 games have been amazing wins! I'm fortunate enough to go to the last home game tonight. Hoping for a win in the D! We need all the wins we can get to make it to the playoffs.

It needs to stop raining. Plain. And simple. No more snow too, please!

Happy Thursday!

My Abby Girl

So we have a dog named, Abby. She's a one of a kind dog. We adopted Abby from an individual who fostered her. We've had her for 16 months now. She began to show signs of anxiety last April when we had been out to dinner and there was a thunderstorm. We came home to a set of blinds that were clawed at and broken.

Her anxiety became worst, fast. She started clawing at nearly every door way and window when we would leave. It came to the point where we took her to the vet to find out what her deal was! They told us she has a severe case of separation anxiety. They gave us Prozac for every morning and night and Xanax for the times she's left alone. The Xanax worked for maybe a week or two, but then the destruction started up again.

For about 4 months we were paying somebody to stay at our house with her until someone was home. That became costly on my parents, so it was time to consider another option.... Adoption. We became attached to this dog and it broke our hearts to think that we have to give her away.

She spent one afternoon at Pet Supplies Plus looking for a new home.

There wasn't a great amount of traffic coming through that day that was interested in adopting... So she came home with us.

There is a dog camp called Camp Bow Bow right down the street from us. So we looked into it and found it to be only $25 a day to take her there. Not bad considering what we were paying for someone to come to the house.

Abby had her first day today and LOVED it! She did so well and momma is proud. She got 5 stars for today and a free pass to come back! She even made friends :) so happy we've found something so we don't have to let our beloved pup leave us.

And the poor thing is whipped. She was so tired she actually laid down in the car on the way home rather than standing on the center counsel to look out.

Then she had a little snack before crashing on the couch :)

My Favorites

I apologize, I just noticed last week's post failed to publish. And I'm late again this week. Maybe I should just post sometime during the week instead of every Tuesday.. At this rate I think that might be the plan.

1. Acqua Di Gioia
This is one of my favorite perfumes. My boy got this for me for my 18th birthday and my 20th is right around the corner.. It has lasted that long! I haven't used it everyday, but still going strong 2 years later.

2. Green Tea and Bamboo Strengthener Nail Polish
Love, love, love this clear nail polish. I'm really bad about picking my nails. When I wear this it keeps me from wanting to pick them and they actually grow!

3. Thirty One Bag
I use this bag mainly for school, but it can be great for many different things due to its space. It holds my heavy duty books and laptop.

4. Target Quilt Comforter
I found this comforter at Target yesterday and I'm pretty much in love!

5. This cutie
He is very mischievous and found the bag of Easter eggs... And decided to play with them.
